School Board Commissioner Barbara Trentham - District 5
|
Barbara Trentham represents District 5 in the Martin area. First appointed in 1989 and elected in 1990, she serves as vice-chairman of the School Board and on the Planning and Curriculum committees. She is recognized as a Level 4 School Board member by the TSBA.
She holds a BS from the University of Montevallo and a MS from Vanderbilt University. Mrs. Trentham's many activities and volunteer projects include: service on the CE Weldon Library Board; vice-chair of the Reelfoot Regional Library Board; Member of the Tennessee Library Association, past chair of the Trustees/Friends Section; Friends of Tennessee Libraries; Chair of the Advisory Council to the State Library and Archives; Martin City Beautiful Committee.
Barbara is active in the Martin First United Methodist Church. She is married to Dr. Jimmy Trentham. They reside at 120 Forest Drive and have 2 children and 4 grandchildren.
