Sam's interests:

Sam Sinclair, Sr. was first elected to the Weakley County Commission in 1982 and has served since then except for one term. Commissioner Sinclair has held leadership positions in community, civic organizations, and activities. He presently serves on the Public Works Committee, Rules Committee, and the Personnel Committee of the commission. Sam has also served as a member of the executive board of the Weakley County Democratic Party consecutively since 1982. He has held office in the Tennessee County Commissioners Association for three terms. Sam served as a military policeman for two years and four years in the inactive reserves during the Vietnam War.

Sam and his family reside at 1947 Nethery Road, Martin, TN on their eighty-nine acre Gloryland Farms. Sam and his wife Donna have been married for thirty-eight years and they have four grown children and seven grandchildren. Donna is a fifth grade school teacher in the Weakley County school system having taught for thirty years.

He and his family are very active members of the Southside Baptist Church in Martin where he serves as an adult Sunday school teacher and in other leadership positions.

Sam holds a B.S. and a M.S. degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
