County Commissioner Tommy Jones - District 4
|
William T. Jones is currently serving his third term as Weakley County Commissioner. He is commissioner in the 4th district and serves on the Finance Ways and Means Committee, Personnel Committee, Rules Committee, and Beer Board.
Commissioner Jones also serves the town of Sharon as an alderman. He was elected in 1993 and has served in that capacity to the present. He is a member of the Tri-City Landfill Committee for the City of Sharon.
Commissioner Jones is a graduate of Sharon High School. His higher education includes a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Business and Education from Bethel College, an MBA in Business and Education from Murray State University and forty-five hours above in Administration and Supervision from University of Tennessee at Martin.
He was a teacher at Martin Elementary School, Assistant Principal of Martin Junior High and then Principal of Martin Junior High. He has retired from Weakley County School System with 30 years experience.

His current interests include wildlife conservation, hunting, and golf. He is a member of the NRA, Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl.
Mr. Jones resides at 427 W Main, Sharon, Tennessee with his wife Jessie. She is the librarian at Martin Middle School. His daughters, Kristi and Kelly, reside and work in Nashville.
