Sheriff - Mike Wilson

 

Sheriff Mike Wilson began his career with the Weakley County Sheriff's Office as a patrol deputy in 1976. In 1978 he was promoted to Investigator and in 1980 was selected as the Chief Deputy. In 1982 he was elected Sheriff of Weakley County and still has the privilege of serving in that capacity.

 


Chief Deputy - Mark Black

Chief Deputy Mark Black began employment with the Sheriff's Office in 1988. Over the years he has held the position of Investigator and Sergeant. In 1993 Mark was promoted to Chief Deputy.

 

 

 

Kim Higgs - Lieutenant

The Weakley County Sheriff's Department is home to Lt. Kim Higgs, having served with the department for the past 26 years. Kim began her career with the Sheriff's Office in 1978 working in records. She was sworn in as Deputy Sheriff in 1986. Kim served in that capacity until 1992 when she was promoted to the Investigative division. In 2004 Kim was promoted to serve as Lieutenant for the department where her duties include department training, supervision and overseeing of daily operations.

 



Jason Moore - Jail Administrator

Jason Moore was selected as the Jail Administrator on April 2, 2013. Jason served as the Jail Administrator in Obion County from 2004 to 2008. In 2008, he began his career with the Tennessee Corrections Institute (TCI). He served as a Detention Facilities Specialist. TCI is responsible for inspecting 127 jail facilities, and training over 7000 correctional officers. Jason has served over 19 years in the military.

Currently, Jason is a Paralegal with the 194th Engineer Brigade out of Jackson, Tennessee. He is responsible for ensuring the Weakley County Jail exceeds the minimum jail standards, managing 19 correctional officers, and the health, safety, and housing of an average of 87 inmates.
