WEAKLEY COUNTY
​HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT

The purpose of the Weakley County Highway Department is to provide the citizens with safe roads and bridges. Our county is 576 square miles and 368,300 acres. The department provides maintenance to approximately 934 miles of road and 196 bridges. Weakley County contains 262 State of Tennessee road miles as well as many miles of streets maintained by the individual cities and towns of our county.

Contact us at 731-364-2284 for all of your road needs or to notify us concerning any hazardous road condition.

Our working hours are 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday of each week. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Your highway department is "on call" 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergencies. During off hours/days, we may be notified via the county's E-911 system, or the Weakley County Sheriff's Department, which operates 24/7.

Our responsibilities are the construction, care, and maintenance of all roads and bridges on the County Maintenance List. Safe travel for you is our highest priority.
